How They Work Differently
Strip wax (soft wax) is applied in a thin layer and removed with a cloth or paper strip. It sticks to both the hair and the skin. Hard wax is applied thicker, hardens as it cools, and shrink-wraps around the hair. When removed, it only grips the hair — not the skin.
Why Hard Wax Wins for Sensitive Areas
For Brazilians, bikini, underarms, and face — hard wax is gentler because it doesn't pull on the skin. This means less redness, less irritation, and less pain. It's also better at grabbing short, coarse hairs without breaking them, which means fewer ingrown hairs.
When Strip Wax Makes Sense
Strip wax is faster for large, less sensitive areas like legs and arms. It covers more surface area quickly and works well on fine hair. Many estheticians use both types depending on the body area — that's exactly what we do.
What We Use at Full Circle Beauty
We use premium hard wax for all sensitive areas — Brazilians, bikini, face, and underarms. For larger areas like legs and back, we may use strip wax for efficiency. Every product we use is professional-grade, hypoallergenic, and designed for all skin types.
